Half day: Tour Lantern Making In Hoi An Detailed ()

Join us to gain some insight into Hoi An Ancient Town. This tour allows you to contact with your creative side as well as allows you to participate in a vital facet of the Vietnamese culture. Our tour guide will pick you up in your hotel, we'll move on to the home of a neighborhood lantern craftsman. There, we might have a hands-on workshop to learn the traditional art of lantern making. Lantern making in Hoi An is recognized as one of 9 traditional craft villages in Vietnam. The lanterns are made from bamboos and silks. Therefore, to make beautiful and durable lanterns, craft guys select these materials carefully. You'll be taught how to make landscapes together with the enthusiastic instructions from the craft guys. We then move to the centre of Hoi An city where you'll visit the ways of decorating a number of colorful lanterns. After visiting the city centre, we move to the Nguyen Thai Hoc Street wherein lots of lanterns are also displayed. Whilst walking along this road, we drop at a little café to enjoy coffee and contemplate the joys. Next stop is the Japanese Covered Bridge; we'll visit this site and take pictures with your own lanterns. When visiting the Bridge, we continue to head to other facet of the city where lots of lanterns are sold.
